Our Investment Philosophy
At a time when complex financial instruments and packaged products have become an industry norm, McAdams Wright Ragen (MWR) has chosen to pursue a more traditional approach. We adhere to a core philosophy of value-oriented investing for long-term returns.
We customize our portfolio management to target optimal long-term performance for each client. With an understanding of your unique profile, we establish an investment plan expressly suited for your needs and circumstances. Thereafter, we continually review asset allocations, sector weightings and individual holdings to maintain an appropriate balance.
MWR’s research staff performs in-depth, fundamental analysis to identify undervalued equity securities. The firm’s investment stance tends to be contrarian—we often invest in companies whose stocks have fallen out of favor for reasons we believe to be temporary. Our long-term objective is to sell into rising prices when market sentiment turns overly positive.
MWR bond specialists analyze credit quality and market risk across different maturities and rates. In managing client accounts, the advisor’s objective is to select fixed income holdings that will meet specific parameters for tax-adjusted income, total return objectives, and safety of principal.
Note: Investing involves risk. Diversification and Asset Allocation do not guarantee against loss. These are a methods used to help manage investment risk. When investing in bonds, you are subject, but not limited to, the interest rate, inflation and credit risks associated with the underlying bonds. Bonds may be worth less than original cost upon redemption or maturity. Past performance is not indicative of future returns.
